Alexandra illustrates what inspires her. Fashion, beauty, vintage wares and food, botanicals, families and children, together with her whimsical bridal illustrations all created in her detailed signature, exaggerated fashion style.
Australian born, Sydney based, Alexandra Nea Graham holds an Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design from The Design Studio, East Sydney Technical College, Sydney.
From College she worked for a decade in the Fashion Industry, both locally and abroad, as a Senior Fashion Designer as well as being the Director of her own internationally stocked and recognised fashion label, Alexandra Nea (2002-2008).
The creation in 2011 of illustrated recipe blog The Art of Afternoon Tea saw a return to drawing for Alexandra and after two years in 2013 she made the switch from the commercial fashion design world to become a freelance illustrator and designer. Currently, Alexandra is working private commission and commercial illustration and fashion design projects around being a Mum of 2. In 2017, Alexandra proudly took on the role of Creative Patron and Ambassador for The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, creating the illustrated visuals for their 2017-20 Frocktober campaigns.
Alexandra Nea was named by Husskie Press as one of the top ten Australian Style Illustrators to follow in 2017 & by Harper’s BAZAAR as one of Australia’s top 12 Fashion Illustrators to follow in 2015.
